Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work with Avid 2018? What about Avid 2022?

Yes! Alot of post-production in the unscripted world uses older versions of Avid Media Composer because of stability, budgets, or just because the menu colors are better! As veterans of the edit suite, we get it. So Quickture supports any version of Media Composer through our stand-alone app.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Quickture is new. It's different. And we want to make sure you have a chance to experiment and see how it works with your workflow. So we offer a 30 day free trial before your subscription kicks in.

Does Quickture work with scripted content?

Quickture is designed to edit unscripted content like reality tv, documentary, news, sports, industrials, training videos, podcasts, and social media. Our goal is to help editors and producers find and build the best story from their footage. Scripted editing has very different needs so we don't currently recommend using Quickture for scripted.

Do I have to pay per seat or license?

No. Quickture uses a usage based billing system. We charge $100 per hour of raw sequence, regardless of how many video or audio tracks it has. Once you've ingested you sequence into Quickture, you get unlimited edits at no charge.

Because we're billing on usage, additional licenses have no cost.

What are current features on the roadmap?

Currently Quickture can analyze and edit any footage in a sequence, up to 10 hours in length. But we know you want to work with ALL the footage in your project and that capability is being built right now.
