Los Angeles, CA — April 2026 — Quickture, an AI-powered video editing tool, announced it has raised $4.5 million in seed funding, just four months after its pre-seed round. The financing was led by Kickstart, with participation from Forward VC, Motley Fool Ventures, and specialist film technology investor Arts Alliance.
Video production is growing rapidly, but editing remains slow and time-consuming. Teams often spend weeks reviewing footage and assembling a first cut before they can begin shaping the final story.
Quickture helps editors search through large volumes of footage, find the right moments, and assemble rough cuts much faster. It works inside tools editors already use, including Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro.
The product is already being used by major studios and broadcasters, including Paramount Skydance, A+E Global Media, Banijay Entertainment, ITV Studios, RTL, Blink49 Studios, and Box to Box.
“What sets Quickture apart starts with the team; veteran producers who've lived the pain of post-production firsthand,” said Kat Kennedy, General Partner at Kickstart. “That authenticity is why the world’s largest studios and networks trust them.”
“Cameras and production tools have improved dramatically, but editing hasn’t changed much in decades,” said Irad Eyal, founder and CEO of Quickture. “We built Quickture to help editors get to the creative part faster.”
Editors currently spend an average of two hours per day using Quickture. At ITV, the company reports that teams have doubled productivity for certain workflows, including casting for shows like Love Island UK.
Quickture is also working with the USC School of Cinematic Arts to launch a course on AI in post-production.
“Quickture has been a game changer on the documentary I’m editing,” said Nancy Forner, professor at USC.
“Video editing is a natural fit for AI, especially inside existing workflows. That’s reflected in Quickture’s early traction with leading studios and broadcasters—and why we’re excited to back them,” said Brendan Mathews, Managing Partner at Motley Fool Ventures.”
The new funding will be used to expand the product and support growth across film, television, news, and corporate video.
